A bounce back after Storm #Chandra however most of Tuesday's the "missing” £33million has gone forever, with perhaps just £17m of extra cash withdrawn on Wednesday. An illustration of the effect of the weather on retailers etc. #protectingaccesstocash

Yesterday’s #ATM values were down YoY by 4%, volumes down by 9%. The odd pattern in 2025, with Fri quieter than Sat, was due to #Storm_Eowyn which with winds up to 100 mph prompted red weather warnings, school closures, and transport shutdowns.

Compared to the closest equivalent day, yesterday’s #ATM volumes down by 12%. A much wider gap than Monday’s and as 2025’s figures weren’t doing anything odd it looks as if there was some sort of “recovery spike” on Monday. #acesstocash.

The average #ATM withdrawal value (£92.11) continues to increase as while people are visiting cash machines less often, they take out more #cash on average when they do. #accesstocash
