Unsurprisingly, sleet and snow doesn’t encourage people to go out and get #cash from an #ATM. A similar story to 2024 when we also had weather warnings and later in the week, Storm Bert.

#ATM #cash withdrawal values down 4.1% YTD. Speculation that consumers' cash use had stabilised at a new post-COVID level seems to be unfounded, although this is by no means a "collapse" and £63billion isnt to be sniffed at either. #accesstocash

Once again #ATM transactions close to recent years.’ However, this is more down to what happened back then, than what is happening now. 2023 had Storm Babet, 150–200mm of rain, while 2024 had heavy rain once again, with Yellow Warnings and 50–80mm of rain in just six hours. #accesstocash
