Yeah we had that same stupid policy at Facebook, where calling someone a cracker was as ban-worthy as the n-word.
It was not insightful, neutral or good. Policies that ignore oppression perpetuate it.

T&S policies should focus on behaviors (e.g., treating others with respect), regardless of the direction of rudeness. Otherwise, policies could be weaponized to favor one group over another repeatedly. 3/7

i think part of the reason i feel like i am going crazy all the time is that the entire apparatus of tech capitalism is focused on selling a product no one wanted or asked for that doesn't work ("AI") and the entire government apparatus is focused on pretending we aren't enabling a genocide.
