The level of anti AI sentiment on this site is remarkable. Blocking a leading expert in a field you are presumably interested in because of AI use is quite a position. Reminds me a bit of the most hardcore Linux ultras and Windows

These kinds of comparisons are a good illustration of how far to the right the “centre” is in the US. Countries like Sweden, Finland and Germany get called “socialist” despite being run by right wing/ conservative parties. Denmark is run by the centre left but with a hard right immigration policy.

In a sense we are already geoengineering the planet today, but badly. Humans are cooling the climate by emitting 75 million metric tons of sulfur dioxide into the lower atmosphere, almost entirely as a byproduct of burning fossil fuels.
