The 15-second loop of it playing the first time you encounter Praline à La Mode has been stuck in my head since the original came out 10 years ago, it needed to be honored

It's a semilattice structure! Some theories of count/mass distinction make use of a mereology that assumes something like this; count nouns pick out the 'atomic' level (the bottom rung) and plurals pick out the higher rungs, and mass nouns might lack the 'atomic' level

what's your team right nowwww! I'm rank F and I'm mostly just using Feraligatr, Delphox (queen) and Venusaur with 3 rotating slots. Not very groundbreaking but it's getting the job done

And thanks to the larger BAyLI community for inviting us to host and be a part of this community. Two other assistant professors in Psych – Liv Hoversten and Meg Boudewyn – co-organized this workshop with me. We want to put cog neuro of language at UCSC on the map – BAyLI was our coming out party!

We were lucky to have UCSC Psych professor Jean E. Fox Tree provide the keynote talk! Our presenters were from UCSC Linguistics, Psychology and from Stanford University. Thanks to our colleagues from Stanford for making it over the hill!
