Serve on whatever you'd like

My fav is burgers on pretzel buns with gruyere

But also:
Scrambled eggs
Avocado toast
Hot dogs/bratwurst

I've even mixed it into Belgian waffle batter

Add the garlic & heat until softened

Turn the heat up, add the liquid & scrape up the fond (the yummy stuck on bits)

Transfer to a small pot & stir the bacon in

Heat to soft boil, then go low-low & simmer for about 45 min to an hour or until gooey & jammy

When the bacon is done, turn off heat, remove from pan with a slotted spoon, reserving about a Tbsp or two of the fat & add onion & kick the heat back on med low... Stir every 10 minutes until carmelized

Chef's hack:

Mix all the liquid ingredients in the measuring cup & dissolve the brown sugar in it

I start in my good ol' cast iron

Crisp up the bacon

When a "good" man sees & knows & warns us about the evil but only lifts a hand to welcome evil in with a "smooth transition," is that really a good man?

I know that's an unpopular thought, and I honestly have nothing against the "good" man, but these thoughts intrude 🤷
