This is a really important point. Like many of these privately funded studies this is just PR dressed up in scientific-sounding language. Without knowing all of the assumptions and data they used, we can’t trust the work or the conclusions. Science cannot be proprietary.

Their "analysis" would not survive any real peer review. As you say, they do not bother to share the details of what they did, but even a quick look shows some severely strange assumptions. It is not science or engineering. It's PR support for their clients in big oil & gas.
