Hah! I love it! I grew up with iggies, and my parents currently have an iggy mix named Joy. Here, this was when I was dog sitting her, and she noted I was in the kitchen!

Day-after-show activity: easy walk on a new-to-me trail. Made sure to go out early before the rain hit. Glad I did; it helped work out some of those aches.

Joy, an Italian Greyhound-Courser mix, is curled up on the couch, looking like a bagel! Joy has mostly black fur, but has salt-and-pepper paws and muzzle, and a white chest. She is a very good girl.

Seven good ones on the Yough River Trail this morning. Best long run of this training block. I don’t know if my body just prefers longer distances? Maybe. Either way, felt great.

I did peer through the trees near my turnaround point this morning, though, and saw this. I can get really sad, but then I remember rail trails exist, and that I can run them, and I am less sad.

Went on a nighttime skate. It ended up snowing the whole time I was on the ice. It was awesome. Remember that life is a poem and it’s always worth fighting for. Remember moments of beauty, especially now.
