Jumping on the colored paper plate flowers bandwagon for this month's circ desk installation. Bright, easy to assemble and cheap! #TeacherSky #TLSky

What's the plan when students use AI to cheat? We're trying something new - restorative justice style reflection sessions. Students review the code of conduct expectations about academic integrity in kid-friendly language, then reflect on harm they've caused & how to repair that harm. #TLSky #EduSky

This is 1 of those projects that you only do once because it’s way more work than you expect. Using these brackets to showcase team profiles from a sports journalism ELA class, then students will use profiles to inform their bracket picks-found a free Google Sheets bracket on Reddit. #TLSky #EduSky

Ohh look at this new Google Classroom feature!! It shows you which students haven't STARTED working on an assignment. That's a great little check in tool for 15 minutes into the period. #EduSky #TLSky

Why eat in the cafeteria when you can sit in my office!?! 🤪 It’s a very educational 40 minutes each day - I learn all the new slang, eavesdrop on the gossip, and get a review of the cafeteria lunch. 10/10 would recommend #TLSky #EduSky

NYS dropped its "Media Literacy Toolkit" for teachers. My favorite part is this section on "Truth Decay" (pg 6) - it notes "The truth is losing its value-and rapidly." I don't know how I've missed the term "truth decay," but can't wait to use it more! #EduSky #TLSky www.nysed.gov/sites/defaul...

Finding joy where we can - like this 3D printed Moai tissue box cover we just added to the library circulation desk. #TLSky #EduSky #3Dprinting

It’s National News Literacy Week and the News Literacy project sent me a PR package with the BEST ever hat - I’m in LOVE! It’s my go to for spirit weeks from here on out! Check out all the amazing educator resources on the News Literacy Project Website! #NewsLiteracyWeek #TLSky #EduSky

Finding joy in small things, like these massive (on trend) bows made out of plastic tablecloths. They’re great with our romance book display celebrating Black love. 💗 #TLSky #EduSky

Although the school library promotes Black voices all year round, we can’t wait to celebrate Black History Month! Love an interactive bulletin board. #TLSky #EduSky #BlackHistoryMonth

Love battery operated candles in the library - safe AND aesthetic. Ex - using them in our display for Holocaust Remembrance Day. #TLChat #EduSky #BookSky

This might be an appropriate time to remind Social Studies teachers that Cindy Otis wrote an amazing chapter for teen readers called "Fake News at War - How the Nazis Used Lies to Kill." She's does an A+ job integrating modern media literacy concepts with historical events. #BookSky #EduSky #TLSky

For the first time, my district has the day off for Lunar New Year. Most of our kids have never heard of Lunar New Year, let alone celebrated, so it’s the perfect opportunity for a social studies/library collab. We’re studying the Chinese Zodiac & making lanterns about our birth year. #TLSky #EduSky

I tried this one last week. 20% done and it’s not holding my attention. Too many DNFs in January.

Any adults read Binding 13? Is it worth my time? Previewing for my junior high library… I’m always wary about books with a gazillion sales on Amazon but no professional reviews #TLSky #EduSky

Google's new(ish) tab feature in Docs is a game changer 4 student research. Before, I had one long Doc w/ all the parts-was GOOD because students only needed 1 file open, but BAD because it required a TON of scrolling to get b/ sections. Tabs lets me use 1 doc, but NO more scrolling. #TLSky #EduSky

Bambu printers in schools? My school library currently has a Dremel DigiLab and it's mehhh. We got my kid a Bambu Lab PS1 for Christmas and it's sooo good (and reasonably priced for a school setting) Any reason not to utilize them in school? #3dprinting #TLSky #EduSky

New Year / New Hobbies bulletin board inspo for January (I used Google’s GenType to create hobby themed letters). I like that this board allows me an opportunity to showcase our hobby books that don’t see a ton of circulation. #TLSky #EduSky

Bet I’m not the only librarian that unwrapped this Lego on Christmas!

Recs needed! I'm looking for a Xmas themed romance with lots of plot-I want someone to open a new diner, or take a train across the country - I don't want to read about people sitting in a cabin for a week. Last year I binged the Christmas in Eldovia series & it was perfect. Ideas? #books #reader

One of the best parts of our school going phone free is students’ increased participation in library programming. They’re are WAY more willing try new things - like this group of guys teaching themselves to play D&D, rather than scroll on their phone. #TLSky #EduSky
