Time to get serious about figuring out whether Boundary Queen already has a human staff before humanely trapping her (because I would feel very silly if I hauled a second cat to the vet only to find out she's microchipped)

This is me! I'm a fat white cis woman with glasses and pink hair, and in this photo I'm walking across a beautiful mossy stone bridge holding my camera and smiling off to one side. I'm wearing a floofy fancy dress embroidered with pink flowers. Me again. This time I'm in casual clothes with natural dark blonde hair, and I'm lying on my side on grass photographing a fat mermaid lying on a dock sticking out into a lake. It's not a very comfy position, but worth the effort. This is one of my clients from 2024. She's a fat white woman with short red hair, wearing a sweater dress, leggings and glasses with bare feet. Her hands are positioned around her pregnant belly and she's looking out at the rain from a room with wooden floors and huge windows. Like most of my photographic work, this is all natural light. Another client from a couple of years ago, this time of a bathtub boudoir session. The client, a light-skinned Latinx woman with long black hair, is shown floating in a bubble bath in a triangular tub with small daisies floating in it. Her back is to the camera, she's wearing a floral top and black panties, and there are plants around the tub.

Wow, that sucked. There's a reason I have a desk/small camera equipment job.

(We helped the extremely extroverted and also great Glenn haul chunks of tree across the deck, through the yard and into the truck to save money.)

Thin privilege is buying clothes off the rack at a brick-and-mortar store.

This is one of the areas where the spectrum of privilege is really easy to see. The larger your body, the more limits there are on where you can buy clothing, and the options diminish really rapidly. ⟡ 1

It's 52° in this house, power restoration date is basically "hell if we know" from the power company*, and unlike hubs I cannot exist in a freezing house and take cold showers. So I overruled him and found a hotel.

*Fair! The whole area is a mess and they're doing their best!

The new deck railing lasted about 2 months before the tree took it out. I'm more upset about the garden table that is now under the tree, but at least our roof survived undamaged as far as I know.

We don't normally have this much tree damage in storms, but the wind was the opposite direction
A view from a second floor window of our two level deck. On the lower level is a pergola with a retractable canopy that we pulled open during the storm to keep it from being blown away. It reopened itself in the wind and there are small branches on top. On the upper level is a fallen tree that fell through the deck railing and narrowly missed the roof. You can't see it from this view because of the tree, but underneath it is a patio table that I had turned into a little garden and its glass top is shattered and the plants are smashed.
