So then, have another #painting "Galway Bay Rocks I" was the first version I painted of a moment where I was cycling out the coast road from Galway city to Connemara when on the way I saw a group of kids sitting up on a large boulder and realised how brilliant it was to be young. #SpeirGorm #ArtYear
Landscape format in acrylics on canvas. Foreground is edge of ochre beach running across full width of painting, then a band of purple rocks of all sizes including one large boulder to the right, with all rocks having violet shadow sides facing viewer. Beyond the band of rocks the bay is teal, with a criss-crossing pattern of white ripples in the near part, and darker teal in the distance. Two more strips of lilac rocks with dark blue shadows stretch out from the left tapering to almost the right edge. On horizon is a large grey mountain with feint maroon striping and curved edges at different layers representative of the strata of rock that form the mountains in County Clare. I’m traveling in Augusta, Georgia and made the mistake of checking the news. After reading quotes from the orange airbags speech, I am once again stunned by the depths he can go.

I found this at the Morris Art Museum. It feels like a harbinger of what’s to come. Painting details in the comments.

I’ve been dog sitting AJ in Ridgefield this week and loving some dog time!

I’m heading home today to do laundry and repack for my next gig. I don’t dogsit as much anymore, but I have my regulars, and these two came up back to back. This time I’ll have time to pack some art supplies!

I’ve been screaming this since 2016. Trump will back down in the face of resistance. He has every time. And Musk - who is going to fall out with Trump sooner rather than later - is going to have to get back to Tesla soon or face a shareholder revolt. We can win if we fight back. And we will win.
