I went to “The Makkah Masjid” mosque in Leeds, Northern England, to speak to worshippers about my background, lived experience, Israel and Palestine, Hamas, and the war in Gaza. In attendance were a Jewish Member of Parliament and a Rabbi who wanted to promote interfaith engagements.

I'm horrified by the reports of an attack on the Jewish community at Heaton Park synagogue, on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. My thoughts are with the victims and their families, and all those affected by this horrific attack.

I have contacted West Yorkshire Police who have assured me that extra resources have been deployed to ensure there will be additional protection for places of Jewish worship in Leeds during this distressing time.

Good. The use of hotels was a) designed to immiserate the people in them to avoid a 'pull factor' (didn't work) and b) has been very bad for the towns in them. Now need to end the ban on people working while they claim asylum.
Reeves said she'll stop the use of asylum hotels in this parliament.
