For the record, we did request Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim to talk about "pausing the construction of net new supportive housing units in Vancouver" and what he calls the "poverty industrial complex" but he was not available.
Which is too bad, because I have lots of questions.

I have a suggestion for you. In times of trouble and strife, there is therapeutic benefit in being among trees and in physical contact with them. So if you can, go hug a tree today, the bigger the better. This huge old chinkapin oak is known as The Great God Tree.

Gotta say, my head is still spinning after moderating an SFU/Science World discussion last night about the role misinformation is playing in the toxic drug crisis. I got schooled by SFU prof Bohdan Nosyk in the role the media plays in problem.
Conclusion: I need to do better.
