A lot of the information in the flashback of ALL HER FAULT is certainly necessary information, but it didn't have to be revealed in that way. There is other From The Past story that they find other ways to reveal!

My brain! Is mush!

I was talking to somebody the other day about how many people’s TV remotes have some or all of the letters and numbers rubbed off the buttons, and it’s fine because nobody ever looks at the buttons anymore.

If I’ve never shared this with you: Yes. (I would write it more sternly now I think. This was 2014!) Chris Christie And Pulling The Red Handle
Chris Christie And Pulling The Red Handle
Every time Chris Christie is in the news, we wind up hearing the same jokes. Maybe we could get some new ones.

Did star! That one was great and they were great in it.

I definitely will keep an eye out, promise. At the moment it doesn’t look particularly red and really only bothers me when I walk around, so I’m going to stay off it and use some ice and etc.

Sounds familiar. I mean I’ve had these since I was young, but I’m sure they’re messing up the shape of my foot more and more as I get older, and that’s why those first three toes on that foot are sort of always borked in some way or another.
November 18, 2025 at 5:41 PM
I’m eventually probably going to have to ask a foot doctor what to do about my misaligned toes, but I’m putting it off as long as possible.

That is a LOT of CCB.

(Guys, I’m kidding, I do basically know what it is. Bunion life is not enjoyable.)
November 18, 2025 at 5:25 PM
It’s the former; I have gnarly bunions.
November 18, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Fortunately I think not, because it’s not in my toe, it’s more my foot under my toe. I think it’s my wonky bunion.

Ooooh, I interviewed her once! I think honestly yes, if you talked to her it would only make your affliction worse.

I mean yes, I certainly get more from a single purchase than from a single checkout. But the system of libraries is so important, and the availability of reading to people regardless of their ability to pay is so important, that I would never look at it that way, either selfishly or otherwise.
November 18, 2025 at 2:24 PM
No! Do not feel that way! THE LIBRARY IS GREAT! The library has a system for authors to be compensated and it also supports the community and leads to more reading and thus it’s great both for authors and generally. The library is great.

Oh, it's fucked.

A fun side note to this story: For what seem to be Cloudflare outage reasons, Congress.gov is down. I'm sure everyone will be very normal about it.

I think they could announce now that he is done after the semester, though. Any effort to have him leave in a kind of quiet puff of smoke over the holidays, if that's what they do, is not for the benefit of students. It's for the benefit of him, and of the institution.

That’s (part of) what I wanted to say. But I knew that would be trying to argue with somebody who just wants to do what they want to do, and nothing is going to talk them out of not just doing what they want to do.
