Love your videos - truly well done. Appreciated your comment on “sleight of hand” with regard to the graph in one of the studies. Not all are aware of the ways to “enhance” the data.

One more article from @nbcnews.com Sept 2024 more specific to Texas. As a clinician it is heartbreaking to see the numbers rise in infant and maternal mortality as well as preterm birth. We keep slipping backwards.
A dramatic rise in pregnant women dying in Texas after abortion ban
Exclusive analysis finds the rate of maternal deaths in Texas increased 56% from 2019 to 2022, compared with just 11% nationwide during the same time period.

Not only is maternal mortality increasing, infant mortality also increased as seen in the Commonwealth piece above. And @guttmacher.org published a piece May 2024 on the negative impacts. #maternalmortality #maternalhealth

TY for your efforts! The data is out there - in all states with strict antiabortion laws, the maternal mortality increase. Ridiculous to try and hide the data. @commonwealthfund.org published an excellent piece Dec 2022. More data has come out on the topic. #maternalhealth #maternalmortality
The U.S. Maternal Health Divide: The Limited Maternal Health Services and Worse Outcomes of States Proposing New Abortion Restrictions
States banning/restricting abortion have fewer maternity care providers, more maternity care “deserts,” and higher rates of maternal mortality and infant death.
