In the meantime, I write (mostly short stories, flash fiction & unfinished novels), draw, paint, take photos, garden, daydream and dance when nobody's watching.

I thought the 1st title I chose for my WIP was brilliant - until I checked on Goodreads and found a dozen other authors had already used it.
I've now come up with a new one which I'm keeping secret as I race to finish the novel in case someone else beats me to it!

I actually enjoy raking up leaves - but only to use them.
One pile has been put under the big hydrangea bush in case 'our' visiting hedgehog decides to hibernate there, and most of the rest will be put in old compost sacks and left to turn into lovely plant food for the veg beds next year. 🍂🍁🍂🍁

The first one I was brave enough to show to an adult was a long, rhyming poem that told the exciting story of a wild horse evading cowboys who were trying to catch it. I was mortified when my teacher made me read it out to the class. I was 9 or 10 & kept my writing secret for many years after that!
