Here's what my upcoming book, "Nature's Memory: Behind the Scenes at the World's Natural History #Museums" will look like. I couldn't guess what image my publishers at Penguin would select to represent ALL SPECIMENS IN ALL MUSEUMS, but I think this snail is perfect. #CoverReveal

Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy.

I choose joy over despair. Not because I have my head in the sand, but because joy is what the earth gives me daily and I must return the gift.

Working on this page brought back great memories of attending the bumble bee workshop at Nachusa Grasslands back in 2021. We were able to get close looks at many different species, but the conclusion was that our native bees are precious and need care.

Robin Wall Kimmerer imagines a system where resources circulate through communities, creating webs of independence that nourish both humans and nature.

Her latest book, The Serviceberry, is "like a beautiful poem filled with love," says Ruah Swennerfelt.
REVIEWED: The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World
Robin Wall Kimmerer's followup to Braiding Sweetgrass is a hopeful book, an ecology book, an economy book, and a spiritual book.
