This book has been so soothing. I have probably learned more about the foreign policies that shape the world just in the first three chapters than I have in at least the last 15 years of news media. 🙃 It's helped clarify a lot of the absolutely batshit nonsense of the current timeline. COMFORT READ

#VA250 Passport Tour @ Bacon’s Castle, Surry, VA. Excellent 20 min tour exploring four floors of the building. Currently renovating windows. Still amazed the building exists. So many chimneys! Enamored with the large fireplaces.

#VA250 Passport. @ Hanover Museum: Look at the State of Virginia, “…articulating ideas such as free elections, fair trials, the avoidance of standing armies, and freedom of the press…” AND, “…the free exercise of religion”. “…with no denomination given preference over another”. !!!

#VA250 Passport cont….Hanover Museum of History & Culture (pg.24). Info desk had plenty of passports available! Exhibit on tobacco & local entities involved. You can also vote on a name for a horse!

#VA250 Passport Tour cont…directly across the street is the actual passport location BUT saw a huge BOOK SALE sign and made a mandatory pit stop. Picked up a book for 50 cents @ The Pamunkey Regional Library-Hanover Branch location.

#VA250 Passport Tour, DAY 2! (11/22/25). Started tour with a meal @ Hanover Tavern, built in 1733 & one of the oldest taverns in the U.S. (Not in passport, don’t know why?) Picked up postcard post-meal in gift shop for $1.00!

Ended #VA250 Passport Tour in Fredericksburg, VA #fxbg full from lunch @ Osan Japanese Restaurant, Ice Cream @ Abner B’s, & dinner coffee @ the cozy, Original Grinds (@ogsfxbg). Have to come back to visit the other 4 stops in the city. Lovely day of walking, learning, & shopping.
