I’m just passing time, lost in the great permanent diversion that is the internet. I never used Twitter so I am still figuring out what to throw out into this great void of strangers. Do I opt for existential dread or making light of silly things?
Straight out of the can is the best way to have em, don't mess with perfection!

More like he doesn't use it, so he is incredulous that other people would use it. Probably thought "groceries? Who says that? Just yell at your assistant to get you more food already! I will talk about groceries on the campaign trail if that's the word you want, but I don't know who uses it."

The old icons were more focused on the crisscrossed wrench and screwdriver than the nearly imperceptibly tiny differentiating icons in the middle of the crisscross. The new icons are way more distinct with the added room to display their function icons.

25 is room temperature, so 28 is the slightest hint of warm in the low 80s Fahrenheit.

Dang. How did it jump from Florida and south Texas all the way to Washington? That's not good.

That might be their origin, but there seems to be a big marketing push right now to convince people with looser waves/curls that these bonnets can reduce frizziness. Some of the manufacturers probably wanted to chase that infinite growth capitalism by convincing more people to wear them.

The acidity in sodas like coke splits sugar apart into fructose and glucose anyway. By the time it reaches you it's pretty much the same product whether they sweetened it with corn syrup or cane sugar at the factory. It's certainly not any healthier.

I've been so worried for the prisoners, especially for Carlos Daniel Terán as he is so young. It's awful to go from buying a new bike one day to getting kidnapped the next and then being sent to an unfamiliar country to be tortured. This has been a grave injustice against these people.

Now republicans are ruining random space objects with their perversions too! How messed up does your brain have to be to leap from "space rock that killed the dinosaurs" to this usage?

I have the same problem from the opposite angle. It makes them look like old photos of my dad's generation and how am I supposed to get into cougar mode when the young hunks have an old fogey porn stache going on?

How did he manage to add a whole other level of kids getting dropped off at school in kennels? That isn't one I've heard mentioned before.

I forgot the exact search phrasing I used with the super expensive results (one even was $500), but "USB auto jumper" gets me all results over $100 on DuckDuckGo. I'm in the US so these are in USD. Your suggestion of "jump starter" does give me the affordable $40 ones thankfully, which beats these:

The jump packs that came up when I searched were $200 and my last car battery was roughly $150. $40 is a lot easier price to stomach so I'll have to keep looking for the more affordable ones. Thanks for letting me know.

The ones that came up when I looked for a battery jumper pack were around $200, $40 is a more reasonable backup price, especially for anyone who is going to be spending time in remote areas without a lot of other people around to ask for help.
July 15, 2025 at 7:43 PM
I've never heard of this and when I looked it up it costs more than my whole car battery, whereas I've had jumper cables for as long as I've owned cars and it costs me no added money to keep using them. That's a lot of money to spend on something redundant that I use once or twice per decade.

Not deliberately. After the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill, Dawn was used to wash oil off of the affected wildlife.

Why Dawn Is The Bird Cleaner Of Choice In Oil Spills
Whether it's a sea turtle, a brown pelican or human skin, if it's coated with oil, the product being used to clean it is likely to be Dawn dishwashing liquid. Ironically, petroleum is a key ingredient...

Cerulean blue was always my favorite crayon color.

Half Baked. It was theater arts and we had a substitute teacher that day. There was no educational value whatsoever, but it was entertaining.

Minor correction: the flooding was a multi-day event. Places like Big Sandy Creek and the San Gabriel River flooded on July 5 as heavy rain continued to fall just north of Austin. Absolutely awful to cancel the contracts in the middle of a disaster.
