I first though it could be a screenshot from a film or a drama.

You were very generous with your 6-weeks advance notice 😤

Are they AI generated? That, or they used a very uncommon font for the name tag 🤔

That's disgusting. What kind of deranged person would do such a thing?!

I have been reading your posts for quite a while, and really hope that you'll be back in a safe and stable situation soon.

Temple/Shrine attendant? On paper it sounds very proper, so maybe her husband/MIL might accept it. (In reality it's probably like any other job in the service industry, with minimal wages, of course :/)

Woah, it looks great. If you still have copies left in November (when I visit Japan), I will definitely order one. Wishing you success!

They have no idea how great these exercises are for practicing/learning. I have to admit I hated these mock speeches/debates at school, but they proved infinitely useful when I started working and had to speak English on a daily basis.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! For me, the difference between a sunset at 5:15pm and 6:30pm is noticeable (especially in mountains/forest). But I would pick shorter days over overheating 😊 I have already given up on the cities. Even in November, I was half-dead in Taitung.

There was a segment on NHK World last year, featuring one of this project's architects. When he said that the redevelopment would take 10 more years, I skipped to the end to check if it was an old rebroadcast... Nope, 2024!

Or... maybe it is actually representative of the actual quality of afternoon teas in the UK? 😆 Just kidding.

Other pictures show a bit more food on the plate, but 5000 yen is still a ridiculous amount to pay for that.

Yes, the TGV is a bit lousy compared to the shinkansen, but I am afraid that not many people (myself included) are willing to pay 2 to 3 times the current prices to get a higher level of service.

Even their sweets use a lot of sugar! Eg: dorayaki or castella are easily 25% sugar if not more, on par with cinnamon rolls.

But yeah, some of their "savory" dishes are unreasonably sweet...

JR Kyushu has discounted rail passes for 65+yo who surrender their driving licences! I also saw something similar in South Korea, but for buses.
