Hainan gibbons: world’s rarest primates! 🐒 Only ~42 left in Hainan Island’s lush rainforests. Males are jet black with punk-rock crests, females golden yellow w/ black patches. Can you imagine? 🌿 #WildlifeWonders #EndangeredSpecies

This is Qilou Old Street (骑楼老街) in Haikou, Hainan Province, China. Despite the European architecture Hainan was never a European colony,it was incorporated into the Han Dynasty around 110 BCE. Hainanese merchants brought the arcade style back from Greece in the 1800s.

This is Qilou Old Street (骑楼老街) in Haikou, Hainan Province, China. Despite the European architecture Hainan was never a European colony,it was incorporated into the Han Dynasty around 110 BCE. Hainanese merchants brought the arcade style back from Greece in the 1800s.
There are officially 18 ethnic groups in my region of China, but there are also subgroups of those which brings the total to 39. The largest ethnic minority group is the Li people. This is one of their villages
