worth noting: I am and will stay in denial about Ozzy...

(I remain in denial about David Bowie, so this could take a bit)
Last week was a rough one for music, we lost Chuck Mangione, Cleo Laine, and Tom Lehrer.
Here's a Lehrer deep cut that I have a bit of an attachment to...

Having no awareness of Terry Moran's personal faith prior to this article...it is curious that those who did know were surprised that he said what he did.

Calling out hatred for the sake of hate (Miller), and hatred for the sake of personal glory (Trump), seems incredibly Christian to me.

Curtis Yarvin is trending, but I've already watched those episodes of Behind the Bastards

Until I hear otherwise, I'm going to assume that this is the same kind of thing where your grandparents ask if you've heard of "that nice singer, Lady Gaga, who sang with Tony Bennett."

There are so many troops who have fallen, succumbing bravely to the destruction of war.
The American story has always been written in blood, sweat, and tears. We cannot forget.

Looking back, getting the audiobook of 12 Rules for free was my first step down the road of COBSPRO (no "intel" found).

That he is still relevant nearly 10 years later is a terrifying statement about algorithms and society's choice to sound smart instead of think.
he definitely cries during this

For decades, LEOs used family events like funerals to execute arrests. Not saying it's not cruel, just that it's been happening for decades.
It required LEOs to cultivate some knowledge of the community, to witness to humanity. That is absent here. A process as inhuman as its executors are faceless.
Here's a picture that a @kuow.org photographer took in Seattle yesterday, showing the ICE officers masked up in the hallways as they waited to arrest people coming out of their hearings.

There is just too much.
The mango magistrate spews Tucker Carlson talking points about a genocide*
And announces that he will accept bribes from anyone, including the person who would be responsible for the genocide*

* no genocide spotted.
Ramaphosa: I'm sorry I don't have a plane to give you.

Trump: I wish you did. I would take it.

Hook - 10 cents.
Thread had no price, but 250 yd balls were 35 cents. Probably could have made 2-3 with 350 yds.
It took six days to make (4+ hours each of those days).

Crochet can't be done by machine. It's not ethical fast-fashion.
American consumers aren't ready for American-made goods.

🚨 💉The FDA will no longer approve COVID vaccines for people 6mo–64yrs who don't have a risk factor for severe COVID-19. People 65 years and older and those under 65 with risk factors can still get vaccinated.

There's so much to unpack here. See a few thoughts below 👇

Toward the end of the clip Rubio references a 'riot' and doesn't even remember where it happened. His concern stops at the point where he might wield his power.

In the eyes of this admin, unrest is only a tool to find those who need to be silenced.
A heated exchange between Van Hollen and Rubio: "Writing an op ed to the Tufts newspaper is disrupting the foreign policy of the US? That's pathetic, Mr. Secretary."

Beyond the individual ancestry of the troops, "the boys at Normandy" were American, Canadian, and British...

Of course, Stephen Miller doesn't need to worry that facts will interfere with the picture he needs to paint...
It’s funny that Stephen Miller mentions “the boys at Normandy” because I would bet a significant percentage of the Americans who fought in World War II were the children of immigrants. That was the case in my family.

Roberts: why are criminals doing crimes?!
Everyone: big crime is lucrative...
Roberts: why are criminals doing crimes??!
Everyone: power > accountability...
Roberts: why are criminals doing crimes???!
Everyone glances around: ...why...🙄

Roberts: DAMN KIDS these days don't know civics!!
Incredible paragraph. "He blamed schools."

Not the rampant criminality and lawlessness among his political party, much of which he personally enabled, all of which he has remained silent about and has refused to take any action to stop.

No, that's not the problem to Roberts. "He blamed schools."

You helped a few relationships through times of long distance.
Your "automatically pick up" feature for incoming calls from contacts was perfect for checking in on my pets while away from home.
