This is smallball at exactly the wrong time. Does @kaine.senate.gov think voters will say, "well, Dems did *try* for a clean 30-day CR, so it's no biggie that they empowered Trump/Musk destruction further"? Even if true, so what? The end result is what should count at a moment as urgent as this.
If this is really the Senate D plan, it's a joke. Come on, @schumer.senate.gov, this is too clever by half.
The test is this: If you don't use your power to stop the Trump-Musk reign of lawbreaking and destruction, and instead facilitate it, you've failed. This plan could end up doing the latter.
