the worst part about having fruit flies in the kitchen is not having flies, it’s that I got some incredibly dumb subspecies that hurl themselves into cooking food and drown themselves in the smallest countertop puddle leaving everyone upset

beginning to realize how little « authority » matters anymore. whatever they do will be at most temporarily blocked and cause tepid (often performative imo) outrage, then will go through anyway because who’s to stop it? the MAGA-appointed Supreme Court? look at what happened to #usaid
Again, the Secretary of State has no authority to “revoke” green cards.

getting people to care is so little of the battle. getting them to believe is way more important. whether the climate crisis or a new world order, we have to show what’s already working. only then do people feel motivated to join the cause with real optimism. and without that we are actually doomed
