Nostalgic about internet serendipity before the 2009/2010 "social media gurus." Interested in: houseplants, food, austen, trollope, heyer, christie, sayers, quilting, poetry, cocktails, asd, panel shows. Am considered charming. Aging okay.
It's just now hitting me, after all these years of hearing this song, that it was just a bit ahead of its time. His voice says late 50s, but the arrangement says more like 1965. And the film is striking in its demonstration of 50s melting into 60s.(This is the sort of pondering I do, and often.)

Thanks, I dragged it home one day last year and it's just been out there ever since, and it feels kind of silly to not make something of it! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sounds really nice to me. I think I'd probably sprinkle the minced bacon over the sauce, though.

Light and brief, now just a pleasant memory to carry through the day

Yesterday they learned how to fly, and today they've left the balcony. I'll miss them, but I've really been needing to clean the balcony. I'll leave the nest alone for now, though.

I've read that book 9 thousand times and never gave that phrase much thought. But if asked to guess, I would have chosen German origin, I think.

I did say I read things eccentrically. When you gut it, it isn't whole anymore. I was mostly just being silly.

To be fair, it does say to leave the small fish whole. As an eccentric sort of reader, I'd question both cleaning it and leaving it whole, but I have cleaned fish and do get what they mean.

Okay, I guess that does sound valid. The other three I saw will simply not do.

Listen, I looked them up. The others are silly words I've never used, and personally I'm making peace with that.

I thought of ten umbles, then looked it up, found four more in some game lists. I'm okay with my ten, honestly. The spelling, mostly, I suppose. So, okay, then.
