Reading reviews about it now, & a lot of bad takes imo.
I chalk it up to it being people who are not big on Zelda or the lore. I mean, I get that Zelda is not ALWAYS the biggest in terms of story, but I feel like it's the same people complaining that AoC wasn't canon, complaining that AoI is.

I didn't expect to read, "My bowels turned watery." TWICE, so far, in the ACoTaR series.
I really dislike this series, but also acknowledge that I'm clearly not the demographic for something like this.
The writing is abysmal, in my opinion, and find it hard to like ANYONE except for Lucien.
