Local resident Sarah Hale will be a great addition to the LibDem team working hard for Newhaven. Vote Sarah Oct 9th for Newhaven South.

We've got a great candidate for our town bi-election. Sarah has previous experience as a town and district councillor from previous administrations in the 90s.
It’s coming: Oct 9th. Newhaven South by-election. Vote for LibDem candidate Sarah Hale, the strong voice Newhaven needs. Sarah says, “I moved to Newhaven in 1986, and I love this town – there's nowhere like it. It would be a great honour once again to work for you, the people of Newhaven.”

I am honoured to have been selected as the Lib Dem candidate for Mayor of Sussex.

I want to win with unity, not division, promoting a prosperous and green future for our county.

Many people have lost all faith in politics, it's time we restored some hope.

GP practices, childcare providers, community organisations, and local businesses are being pushed to breaking point by rising National Insurance costs. The Government must rethink these changes before vital services and jobs are put at risk.

A massive let down for the #waspi campaign - absolute disgrace !
🧵#WASPI response to today's Govt decision to ignore PHSO recommendations on compensation:
"The Government has today made an unprecedented political choice to ignore the clear recommendations of an independent watchdog which ordered ministers urgently to compensate WASPI women nine months ago.

Yesterday I had the privilege to go on board the Newhaven lifeboat. It was fascinating even for someone who doesn't do boats. The volunteers who save lives at sea are absolute heroes

Good to see @jamesmaccleary.bsky.social and @lilbee24.bsky.social listening to residents. It's why they elect us. Local action.
Great to be out in Denton today with Cllr Lesley Boniface listening to local residents. Hearing concerns on traffic, health access, flooding and a range of local issues. Reported some missing street signs while we were out and about too.

A lovely evening at the Sidings Newhaven for the closing party. Delicious veggie curry from Bajan Jerk Box and an equally delicious pint of super pale from Abyss Brewery. Great music too.

I couldn't be more pleased for James, well deserved and I know he will work hard to re-establish ties to Europe
Thrilled to share my appointment as Lib Dems Europe Spokesperson by Ed Davey! Excited to start work on mending the UK’s ties with Europe, champion economic opportunities, and push for a proper, dynamic Youth Mobility Scheme.
