I figured this mask would be owned by a more experienced Watcher, therefore it’s more simple and concealing- to show the “growth” and knowledge of said Watcher. Also the mix of the eyes of Ender is just RAH I wanted to add them in.

I thought a face plate would be pretty cool for a more inexperienced/less respected Watcher- which is why they have everything but the eyes open to help with “watching” as well as the multiple eyes along the wood. And I thought it would be really neat to have nether portals inside of the stars

I sketched out the concept of the mask while at work. I figured it would be cool if all the masks were made out of an ancient wood from a long gone dimension- or maybe a world that’s already been eaten and all the wood has rotted into a deep purple color.

I thought a cloak/long dress design would be cool to keep up with the angelic/mystical look while keeping the mysterious aspect of the Watchers. There was a white concept but I liked using the End/Nether portal palette since it matched well with their powers and means of travel

Hehehehehe I made a silly little watcher outfit design for when I draw the watchers. The masks came to me while I was working and I’ve been sketching it for 3 days out of excitement 😭
