It's a moving target based on how much whiskey has been consumed and how cool the camera is. After a certain point nothing happens with the light bulb but you do get a lot of Wes Anderson-esque photos of varying quality

Batteries are so weird. You can't keep the thing on the charger constantly because that'll fry it. You can't let it go to 0 though, because that'll do it too. Gotta keep it charging just the right amount

Gotcha, I just dislike the proprietary ones because they're often harder to find and more expensive to replace. If it was just exposed wires I'd say try electrical tape - maybe preemptively wrap the weak point on the next one? Annoying issue for sure though

I went to a concert in Washington where they were charging $18 for a Blue Moon and 21 for an IPA. Absolutely absurd.
