Something is deeply wrong with this world. There is a monster within our midst. Horrors are real, and we were too slow to realize, now it's too late. It drags itself forward, carrying with it death and pestilence. Even just existing near it is an unredeemable act of violence. What catastrophe allowed such a thing to crawl itself out of the entrails of the earth? We have been abandoned by god. Slumbering further, getting closer and closer. What inconceivable torment is it going to inflict on that poor soul? They can only hope it is done with them quickly. Now face to face with the creature, they await their fate. A horrid reverb runs up its tract. The store clerk seems blissfully unaware of what they're faced with. They carry out the transaction the same as all the other hundreds they've carried out this week. And so, the creature lives for another day, it has not yet been found out. It dreads the inevitable day where it gets found out for what it really is. The day where it is purged and the world is finally returned to its rightful state. It only has two options if it wishes to live: Isolate and delay the inevitable, Or embrace its nature. Commit the most horrible of acts, just so it can assert itself without shame. Too pitiful to have any will, it returns to its quarantine. Those too familiar white walls, and the comforting light of the screen. god i fucking suck at this but at least i feel a bit better after writing it
