In some respects her habits were odd. Perhaps not so singular in the opinion of a town lady like you, as they appeared to us rustic people. She used to come down very late, generally not till one o’clock, she would then take a cup of chocolate, but eat nothing; we then went out for a walk, which was a mere saunter, and she seemed, almost immediately, exhausted, and either returned to the schloss or sat on one of the benches that were placed, here and there, among the trees. This was a bodily languor in which her mind did not sympathize. She was always an animated talker, and very intelligent.

I can never decide if the fact that Fredric Wertham loved fanzines enough to write a book about them (!!) is the sort of thing that makes me like him slightly more or love fanzines slightly less.

Reading an indie comic on my iPad that I genuinely don’t remember purchasing/downloading for free and has no listed author which makes it that much more beautiful and fun.

But also if you drew this comic about a dogstronaut, please let me know who you are so I can see more of your art.

This is almost certainly a mud dauber nest and wasps are incredibly diverse, as is wasp architecture.

Potter wasps, for example, are solitary and their nests look like tiny vases! I remember hearing about some that got into clay at a pottery studio & “threw” their own vases on the side of a kiln.
