I will add that there is a lot I disagree with him on. Just saying that he has consistently held his positions for 6 plus decades. He might have fumbled a time or two, but not on the level of others. I have been saying for years that I wish we had a conservative leader who was just as consistent.

Well, I could read the article without subscribing, but you are talking about a guy who was arrested in the 60s protesting in favor of civil rights. Whether people like him or not, he is perhaps the most consistent high-profile politician in my lifetime.
