The most interesting aspect for me is that, according to the author, she apparently appeals to people who don’t want to “feel like they’re being sold to.”

Haha, Chateau Cashflow baby. These types of bottles certainly do not help the local industry’s reputation for dry wines.

This winery (oldest in PA?) can make decent drys; they had a dornfelder a few years ago that was killer. Then again, some of their attempts are nothing but East Coast Twang.

I do feel like the golden age of Philly area BYOs has passed though. Used to be so many great options - it might not have been great for the restos but it was great for consumers.
