We dread death.
But we die three times.
First, when the body shuts down and ceases to function. The second is when we are buried or cremated. And the third is when our name is mentioned for the very last time.
Name something good in your life that ended?

What did you learn?

What bad experience did you have in your life that ended?

How did you grow?

You can’t imagine it’s night time and simultaneously day time. You can’t imagine sitting down and standing up simultaneously; you can only think one thought at a time. So please choose carefully….

We can be grateful science has increased our longevity. But are our longer lives imbued with better existential insights keeping up with the development of modern scientific advances?

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

There is always someone who doesn’t appreciate your finer qualities. Don’t let that person be you.

We mustn’t berate ourselves when we cannot always give people what they want — or get what we want — but the question could be reframed by asking what they — or we —need. Need or want? It’s a good question to consider.

Existentially… why is it that it’s only on the brink of widespread death and destruction that elicits a unified moral clarity? Recognising peace as an ideal in its own right is an existential necessity— it shouldn’t require a prerequisite of catastrophic failures.

From illness to wellness?
Let's not call for more resilience, diagnoses, drugs, medicalisation & neurofication to address escalating rates of poor mental health, let's call for new social policy to tackle its social determinants & properly fund demedicalised psycho-social support. That's it in a nutshell.

Our worries and fears often leave us sad and stressed. Nature can have an amazingly calming effect: nature helps us feel calmer, more optimistic and a walk in nature is a great way of coping with stress. But don’t take my word for it. Try it!

The world is often portrayed as a harsh, unforgiving place. But we’re all citizens.

If we take time to be kind—whether to a friend, a stranger, or ourselves, we strengthen our world, and compassion reminds us that we are not alone.
