I'm here for it.

I'd prefer to trust my doctor about medical info as opposed to having someone getting kickbacks for the legislation they propose providing that info...
Cassidy is reading an email HHS sent Dr Monarez damnding political approval of all scientific recommendations.

America - do you want legislators in the clinic with you and your doctor?

It’s already been a discussion point before… but OMG - what happened to the concept of the Supreme Court? It is NOT nor NEVER was meant to be partisan.
What world are we living in!?

Reading ‘Becoming Madam Secretary’ by @stephaniedray.bsky.social Cannot for the life of me get over how much it reads like our current state of affairs.
I keep exclaiming to random people and sending screen shots of passages just to say, ‘why can’t we learn from the past instead of reliving it??’

The irony is downright depressing.

Translation: Christmas is cancelled.

Trump's man-made economic crisis could lead to empty shelves and disrupt supply chains as early as 2 weeks from now. Every single free market-loving "pro-business" elected Republican should be pushed on this today.

We fought for our independence.

We fought to end slavery.

We fought against the rise of fascism in Europe.

We fought for civil rights.

I refuse to believe we have lost the will to fight for what is right and just.

I feel this on so many levels.
To be honest I'm having a moment of utter heartbreak about the state of our world and the U.S. I know there is much goodness and more of us are decent human beings than the absolutely corrupted ones mostly in power. But this is hard shit to witness.

They are trying…and making headway toward their goal every day…to squeeze every last breath out of the lungs of democracy. At that point, they plan to stomp on the lifeless corpse. You already know that, but sometimes it helps to see it in print. If we let it slip away…it’s gone forever.

This shit's scary. We must keep shining a harsh light on what these supervillains are doing with our personal data.

The Nazis weaponized birth records, employment files, and medical info to track and persecute millions.

We ignore history's lessons at our own peril.

Hmmm... I feel like we're seeing why the FAA and related transportation offices/professionals are actually important/needed.

(p.s. let's put our money into transportation people ACTUALLY use as opposed to SpaceX and traveling to space)

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

HHS gutted programs to help people quit smoking. The impact could be deadly.
Cuts to the CDC and the FDA, experts say, could reverse hugely successful campaigns to reduce cigarette smoking rates and curb teen vaping.
