LI on behalf of 57 States on the Use of the Veto:
• The #VetoInitiative has ensured that vetoes are no longer the end of the conversation.
• The GA can take action when the Security Council is blocked.
• We must also fully implement the Charter provision that a 'party to a dispute' shall not vote.

At debate on SC reform, LI:
- Encourages States to continue to put forward models to bring us towards consensus
- Reminds States of commitments made in the Pact of the Future, including to limit scope and use of the veto
- Urges the SC and GA to work together to more effectively fulfill the Charter.

Today, 59 States, including LI, expressed their support for the independence, impartiality, and integrity of the ICC. We stand firmly with the Court against sanctions of ICC officials, staff and those cooperating with it and reaffirm our shared commitment to fight impunity.

LI is proud to join the international community in celebrating the 25th anniversary of Women, Peace and Security Agenda. We are grateful for Namibia’s leadership and reaffirm: women’s full participation in peace processes is essential. Much more remains to be done to fully implement the #WPS agenda.

Full room today for the #ICC! Thank you Belgium for hosting our discussions on the Universality of the Rome Statute, co-sponsored by 🇱🇮 and 🇹🇱 🇲🇽 🇸🇮 🇸🇱 🇨🇭 🇺🇾 🇻🇺. There is no better show of support for the Court than through ratification of the Rome Statute and its amendments.

In #UNSC Open Debate at #UN80, LI focuses on the implementation of the Charter - specifically Articles 2(4), 51, and 27(3). To live up to the promise of the Charter, we must back up our commitments with action - both those who serve on the Security Council and all other Member States.

The continued existence of the UN is at stake. The "UN80" process is our chance to make this organization fit for purpose. At the forefront, it must fulfill its promise as a peace organization - through action, in the Security Council or through the GA's peace and security powers under the Charter.

At the International Crimea Platform, H.S.H. Prince Alois of Liechtenstein condemned the illegal annexation of Crimea and other Ukrainian territories.
He emphasized the need to strengthen accountability for the crime of aggression, to deter future violations and uphold the rule of law.
