The Morning After the Party - A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a mercreature that looks like an American yellow spotted salamander (a Salamandamer, if you will!), lying on a beach of rocks and seaweed, with gentle waves washing lightly against their tail. The mercreature has their mouth open like they are tired (or hungover!), their eyes are red, and there is gold glitter in the water and on the mercreature (this is what happens when you party too long with the Disco Mermaid! It is entirely possible psychedelic glitter was involved; you never know when the Disco Mermaid is about. Drugs? No illegal substances here!) The rocks are grey, and there is green, purple, and yellow bladderwrack seaweed on the rocks and under the mercreature. (My Dad used to own a house in Bamburgh, Northumberland, and I spent a lot of time there; some of the beach looks like this, some is volcanic basalt, and some is the most gorgeous sand. Never found one of these, though! :D) A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a Hare, three-quarters back to the viewer, head turned to the left so one eye is visible, and the left front and rear paws are visible, covered with a pattern of pink clover flowers and four leaf clovers. The eye has a four leaf clover iris with a dark pink/red sclera behind, and a dark green dot in the center, with light reflected. The tail is a giant clover flower, the ears are upright, continue the pattern on the outside, and are pink inside. Background is blank paper. A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a half-grown white cat (bigger than a kitten, smaller than he became), Neko, walking away from the viewer. Neko’s head is turned to the right, and his legs are arranged in such a way that only his back legs and one front paw are visible, and his tail is curled up enough that it obscures the end of his nose. His tail is a bit fluffy, but no one realized he would become a long haired domestic cat! He is in some of my other cat pics, as he is an absolute runway model, and he knows it. He even has the walk down. A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of an orange frog facing right, siting on a lily pad, with more pads and waterlily flowers in the background. The frog has their front paws outstretched beseechingly, eyes wide, looking anxious. Bottom left is a title-type lily pad oriented vertically towards the viewer, with “Froggie says please love Me!” written on it. The pad is light yellow-green, with pink and lilac edges. The water underneath is blue-green, and there are dark green plants in the background. Forg needs love! Please love Forg! Inspiration: Art Nouveau artist Anton Seder.
