In Canada today, there’s currently over 700 active wildfires. Yellowknife, the capital city of the NWT, is being evacuated. The closest evacuee centre is over 1000km away, in Alberta. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/nwt-wildfire-emergency-update-august-16-1.6938756
