There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding that property taxes fund town and county budgets, not the state budget. State legislators voted for the property tax cuts, but it’s the town and county council members that have had to figure out what local services to cut.

I thought they always backed religious rights fervently. Aren’t they the group that wants Christianity taught in schools and the Ten Commandments posted in every classroom?

Moms for Liberty types suffered some defeats in school board races, but they’re not done! Many chapters are now focused on pushing bad state laws. Thank you for continuing to advocate for the freedom to read!

Being a big tent is one of the BEST things about the party. We should be using it as an advantage.

This makes me so happy. What they did to school libraries, librarians, and students was a bellwether for what was to come. The untold pain they have caused might finally be ebbing!

It was really wonderful to see so many of these chaos agents lose elections on Tuesday. They brought so much pain to the students and teachers in the districts they took over. Hoping to see more losses next year.

Really hoping people are tiring of the chaos agents elected to school boards the last few years. They brought nothing but pain to their districts. It was heartening to see so many defeats on Tuesday.

Bucks County was one of the first school boards taken over by chaos agents. I’m heartened to see them defeated. Hoping more communities follow suit in upcoming elections.

Public libraries have books on religion in their nonfiction sections. They also have fiction featuring religiously-affiliated protagonists. Cozy Christian romances are very popular in many libraries 🤷‍♀️

Bucks County was one of the first where Moms for Liberty took over the school board and caused untold chaos and pain. None of their candidates won last night either.

Wonderful news!

Truly good news. It’s where much of their momentum began. I hope people are finally tired of the unnecessary chaos they cause.

Local elections are so important! Make sure you know how school board candidates feel about the freedom to read and access information in public schools.

Please know you school board candidates’ stances on the freedom to read! Figure out how public library board members are selected in your state too. It’s appointments by county commissioners in mine, and some have nominated book banners to boards.
