Got about halfway through the second ACOTAR book and decided to DNF it. Mainly I just wasn’t enjoying it but there were some writing ticks that bugged me. Profligate use of contractions, like ‘it’d’ (constantly!), but what finally did it was ‘one in the same.’

Like, literally an ad on X has the opposite of its intended effect. Sometimes a product will look interesting and as if in a fugue state I’ll click on it and I’ll be like, wait, hold on, this was on X. It’s gotta be shit.

Can everyone just please move over to this site? X keeps getting worse and worse. Blue checks definitely get priority, I see all kinds of shit I never followed, most of which is click-baitey stuff like "one of these must go" or terrible takes clearly designed just to get engagement.
