Overcoming the barriers falls on everyone EXCEPT textbook/test companies peddling crappy “materials” that cost schools big $$$. Schools have no time nor $ left for contemporary lit, esp when compared to the minimal costs of out-of-copyright “classics” and the old classroom sets they already own.
