I stumbled across this little self defining statement from an author. Makes me wonder, was that near statistics course failure actually a reflection on them? Or actually on the way a course was taught? Were challenging data concepts scaffolded? Were assignments meaningful?

Today the chonky boy is being a long boy with airplane ears, all because The Dog decided to be within a foot and a half of his chosen snoozing spot. #catsofbluesky

Always trying to balance “doing” with rest. Doing work, dissertation, democracy, and taking care of a sometimes unorthodox body. No coffee or chocolate for a while, and my rest deck always provides good words to accept that, while I may need more than some, not only is rest good, #RestIsRessistance

Most of my meetings are working meeting today, so minimal sit and knit time, but I’m really excited to get the decreases going on this hat, so some break time will be spent establishing that!

Listening to the video portion of management training. Thinking about equitable meeting facilitation while knitting and reflecting on my card from the rest deck today.

May have called out today but I’m still making it to the live Library Management training. Today it’s accompanied by a bit of hat knitting (and a little bit of yarn chicken!). So close to done! #knitter #knitinzoom

It’s awful out. So today a pot roast is on. And two loaves of French bread are rising. And a foccia pizza is finishing its last rise. And the dogs? They get some serious games of fetch and keep away since they don’t understand how dang COLD it is.

This sweet girl just used her new button for the first time, in short sentence form none the less, informing me that our other dog had some water. This monster can now via buttons demand attention (moooooom) AND be a commentator to our life. At least she’s cute doing it! #talkingdogs #dogbuttons

It’s this big chonky boy’s gotcha day! We are so lucky his sweet furry momma dropped him off for show and tell at our backdoor and promised we were safe people!

In non-important news, I’ve finally finished these fingerless mitts from 2 years ago! Just in time for winter chill to really kick in. 🥶 #knitter #knit #sheknits #morewoolplease

When I travel I try not to buy books (that spaces is saved for yarn and fabric!), but in Leeds earlier this year this one caught me, and I think it’s obvious why. It took me until a few days ago to crack it, and I erm…inhaled it in 3 days. I’m disappointed I waited so long!!

@bsky.app I know you’ve got atm wild growth and that’s created the *best* sort of problems, but could you, eventually, one day, add in a quick button when you upload photos that sits next to the alt text that you could just tap to signify ai created/altered? Genuine non AI doggo for your pleasure.

This majestic beast is Clouseau. Think inspectors Clouseau and you’ll have his behavior pegged. Clou, as we affectionately call him, is a very solid 28lbs. I picked him up this morning and immediately threw out my back. 🫠 I’m not sure if this says more about me or him in this moment.

Voted early, but I am flabbergasted I have at least three meetings that I have to be mentally present for. 🫠

A newly finished shawl has finally been photographed! Capturing it like a fisherman does is my new go-to for at least one photo 😅. #leftieshawl #librarianswhoknit #knitter

Last week was #opened24 and it was a delight. The people. The content. I have so many words, but for now, I’m going to leave this photo of a pocket of peace I found in providence.

A bit of yarn show and tell. Just finished the #truenaturesweater over the weekend! Just waiting for fall weather that lasts past 11 am for it to get its first real wear out.
