Hard to say… I think it’s too apples and oranges to draw TOO meaningful a comparison between his assertion about his own ability to predict long term effective ways to distribute his estate and the collective establishment / maintenance of fundamental principles of human rights, etc.

Never really thought about this angle but LLMs are almost perfect snake oil… they can imitate any of a whole constellation of features you want to claim they possess. That’s overbroad and they don’t do it WELL, but… still

I know… the juxtaposition just struck me as funny. AI is the next “metaverse”… meaningless marketing speak for some nebulous blob of technologies. This one just has some actual technologies behind it (even if they don’t do what the marketing promises)

I dunno… that seems like a very narrow, insecure take on “old”. I mean, come on… you’re old. I’m old. We’re old. Keith Richards is OLD. My mom is 97. She’s fucking OLLLLD. Old means we made it farther than most. Old is classic. Expand your definition of old. Embrace old. We earned it.

What’s wrong with old? Supertramp is old. Pink Floyd is old. King Crimson is old. I’m old. Old is good. Ezra Furman and Caroline Polachek and Jinjer are (relatively) new. New is good. Old. New. Throw me out or don’t. Makes no difference. I’d rather listen to music than fret about adjectives.
