It’s not “losing money” any more than air traffic controllers or public highways or street lights or fire departments are “losing money.” It is a government service. It’s not SUPPOSED to make money. It’s supposed to reliably deliver to anywhere in the US, even the unprofitable places.

I’m old enough to remember when John Barrasso consistently opposed defunding the Corporation for Public Broadcasting because CPB’s most important role is financially sustaining radio and TV broadcast infrastructure in places like WYOMING where private enterprise will not connect people to the world.

The answer was the president of the United States saying CPB money doesn’t fund Sesame Street. It funds making tv accessible for people in rural American asking a billionaire to his face why his grandkids deserved to access Sesame Street but the grandkids of rural American didn’t.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

All of these work place raids and still not one single employer has been arrested or fined for “illegally” employing the people being arrested and deported.

Can someone please explain to me why the owners of these companies and farms are not arrested as well as the "illegal aliens"? You know for breaking the law?

If only we had someone, a Chief Justice so to speak, who was in precisely the position to stand up for an independent judiciary by publicly refusing the request on behalf of all judicial branch employees.
