The 2025 short story collection by Tim Bowling, on the shortlist of the Atwood Gibson Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize. My favourite story in this is, "Bartleby, the Sessional", set in a lecture hall at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. #ABbooks

The 1948 debut novel from Henry Kreisel, a Jewish man who escaped Austria in 1938 and ended up an esteemed English professor at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. The Rich Man is set in 1930's Toronto.
