Louise Glück- she'd just published "Ararat" and it was the first poetry reading I'd ever been to. When she read "First Memory" it meant so much to me. My most enduring poetry love. Rest In Peace

Thanks @aquietroot.bsky.social for sharing "A Sheep Running in a Field". I appreciate! It's a short one if you have a minute for a poem.

I woke up the other morning thinking that the motivation for all my poetic work can be summed up with one question: What can I believe in?

Which of your fave journals & indie presses have made their way over to the other side? Boost them here?
The amount of work to rebuilt platforms and reach listeners, readers, writers—it is so much. What a burden. What a senseless burden.

What are your simultaneous submissions habits? How many journals do you send the same poem(s) to at once? I'd LOVE to know.

OMG the way I never fail to throw on that brand new poem I think is gold to a solid submission only to realize the next morning it's a weak draft at best! Whyyyy. lol

Does anyone else switch up fonts between projects? I find it really satisfying and useful signal of time and change.

“if paradise is to be here..”
by my favorite, Linda Gregg.
One of the first of her many poems that stunned me silent.

Make this change to improve your feed on this app. You’ll see all the posts instead of just ones with likes.
Someone told me that this app may seem very empty because of this default setting that requires replies to have 2 likes or more before they show up.

Indeed! I changed it so that all replies show up, and suddenly the place seems much more lively. I highly recommend changing it in your settings.

Wrote 2 new poems the past couple days. Dreams are vivid. I walk with my dog and dictate notes into my phone. Feeling abundant on the edge of a new poem project.
