Seabird Ecologist interested in movement, foraging ecology and navigation. Recently moved to Lund and currently getting to grips with life in Sweden. Spend an unreasonable amount of time stood on a hill waiting for birds to fly past. He/Him.
Currently there’s no published evidence for any effects of climate on gannet foraging range but obviously hard to test given the massive reductions at many colonies.

ProbablyHPAI effects? Especially in summer when Bempton (and maybe Heligoland?) breeders that must be the most frequent visitors might be foraging closer to the colonies due to reduced competition. Could be some climate driven shifts in range but they tend to show very high foraging site fidelity.

Last one, you can also set up eBird Patches e.g. all locations that you bird around your village and eBird will keep a tally of species seen in that Patch during the month, year or ever. It’ll even allow you to compare your patch totals with others in your county or country #eBird #birdingScotland
