I think the Minority Report one was "just" your identity, (which is what this report suggests is next), gauging your reaction to an advert to focus it exactly on what you want at this precise moment is next level hell. This is not the future WE want, it's the future (evil) corporations want...

That sucks. No employer should be allowed to claim gross misconduct for sharing basic employment (salary) information, with each other, OR externally. Employers only insist this is confidential if they're in the process of shafting at least SOME of their employees.

Hasn't this government just (re)announced plans to sack 18,000 NHS workers? Not sure the Ministers are listening.

Not that a capricious and self-serving US government will last the length of time it takes to build (even the SMRs are a decade long job - so much for "Ikea" flat pack analogy) - so presumably Warren Stephens and others are looking for a more immediate kickback...

AKA as "three decades of net carbon pollution"...
"Slowing the rise" only sounds good if you're plotting rate of change, and not, y'know, actual change. Plus, CO2 levels AND net change in CO2 levels are currently at all time highs. "Far from enough" - durh!

CO2 levels in Earth's atmosphere jumped by a record amount in 2024
The global average concentration of CO2 surged by 3.5 parts per million to reach 423.9 ppm last year, fuelling worries that the planet’s ability to soak up excess carbon is weakening

Aspirational? Dread naught?

It would be simplicity itself to send the notice BEFORE taking action, and to allow someone to argue their case. But no. Shoot first, and maybe, if you promise to be a good girl and never do whatever you unwittingly did again, even if we haven't told you what that is, we MIGHT let you back.

It is illegal for a coin to be issued with "the image of a living former or current President, or of any deceased former President during the 2-year period following the date of the death of that President," per law on currency designs. So Trump must die (and be long dead) before this coin exists...

Check out Manawaker Press's 100word project as well! Monthly themes, drabbles collected at year end. And I think @flashpointsf.bsky.social also has a current drabble contest...

I mean bold as in innovative, not austerity measures that wouldn't look out of place under Tory, or immigration statements, ditto. Cutting 18,000 NHS staff as if they were just sitting around twiddling thumbs. What whizzo changes have streamling things to that degree? Don't fucking tell me it's "AI"
November 12, 2025 at 10:58 AM
And when I say "bold" I don't mean "unpopular". Labour seems to have an odd mindset where they had such a majority, they didn't worry about keeping the electorate - many who voted for them a first time - on the journey with them. That is why their support and popularity have tanked. (NOT Reform)
November 12, 2025 at 10:55 AM
No shade on anyone who struggles to tell if something is AI or not. It CAN be difficult, and lead to the wrong assumption. "Rules" as spurious as "if its got em-dashes".

But the probability is you're not asking that question about something that moves you. Just something that "appears" competent.
