Well this is a terrible article. Basically the jist is politicians should give up on ideology in order to secure votes. Imagine thinking that's a moral strategy and a good strategy in today's world.

This needs dramatic rebuttal. Not just a "some say this will be detrimental to our international standing" bullshit. Commentators need to bring out real life examples on screen in front of any of these politicians and let the audience see the horrendous nature of it. & for the politician to squirm.
