I turned off news notifications on my phone - an important step in reclaiming peace. I can check in once a day. Being in a constant state of political outrage does not serve my first grade students. They get all of me. If I am not regulated, they won’t be regulated.

Just an FYI, during The Great Depression millions of people of Mexican heritage were deported via The Mexican Repatriation Act. 40-60% were American citizens. When the U.S. entered WW2, there was a huge labor shortage and our government had a new campaign to bring all those people back.
